Someone reminded me this morning that the Democrats ran two women against Donald Trump. What’s up with that? More people have problems voting for female candidates, and the Democrats thought, let’s run them two times against the candidate we’re the most scared of seeing in office. I’m not reading it like one of those too-much leaps of faith, I’m reading it as an obnoxious decision. Like, an “In this party we support women” type of thing. Okay. I’m remembering liberal dads who said things like, “I’m supporting Hillary because it’s time we had a female president in this country” and I’m thinking, you want to support that but that’s not actually driving you to the polls. Given his track record with/some comments Trump made about women, sure, try it the first time, but then we did it again. I’m not saying don’t have female general election candidates, but I am saying that we never ever had them before Donald Trump.
