The Trump brand is what people voted for

I’ve been hearing something on television: that the ballroom Trump is building and his Great Gatsby party stand in stark contrast to the Americans who are missing their paychecks and not getting food stamp benefits. But here’s the thing: people voted for gaudy. That is: regular people.

The Trump brand isn’t as appealing to foreign billionaires as it is to working class people who like to think of Trump’s gold borders on things and well-done steaks. When you think of Trump Tower, you actually think of a man from another state pulling up to it in his truck. You don’t think of the elites that are ruling the country (even if tech billionaires came to his inauguration), because the Trump brand is too gaudy for elites. So the only major thing I would say is that people voted for his brand when they voted for him.

The distinction in the brand is that it’s gaudy for rich people. Not refined for the upper class. And a lot of rich people aren’t in the upper class. Oh, and working class people can actually afford some wines on his website. But on the whole it’s to say that the Trump brand markets to working people even though working people can’t buy most of it. And no–no one else is this way, but people do like that Trump is.
