What I like about Louisville

The last time I posted about Louisville I talked about it negatively so I figured I’d write a post about what I liked. You can drive past the riverfront and hit a sculpture in the middle of a roundabout. Take that street up and you’re on Frankfort Ave.

There’s an ice cream shop on the left called The Comfy Cow and it’s a light pink house with furniture inside of it. Keep driving up and you hit a converted firehouse with string lights in it. Keep driving and you hit Vint Coffee, which is a singular coffee shop (technically part of a local chain) but has a drive-thru window and the best slushie lemonades ever. Keep driving and on your right is Carmichaels Bookstore, and keep driving further and you hit this school that has an outdoor fair every September. Keep driving further and you hit the local water plant and it’s perfect and you’re reminded that you’re in terrain that feels like a water plain.

The Yum! Center where they have concerts has a window going all the way around the concession territory and you’re next to the river, which has three thin industrial bridges that take you to and from Indiana.

There’s so much more. I’ll write about it some other time.
