I still go to my family dentist out of convenience, and I’m going to stop. There is something about being a grown adult that makes it an insult when your doctor or dentist asks about your family. As I’ve grown older (the past few years) I’ve discovered that I’m not okay being treated like the daughter of someone an older adult knows.
I don’t know how many 30-year-olds (32) are feeling this way in America, but I want anonymity at my dentist, etc. I feel so different than I did at 28 that it doesn’t hold anymore.
