When I first heard that French wines would be subject to a 200% tariff if Macron didn’t sign up for Trump’s Board of Peace, I thought, well it’s Trump’s way. I thought it was a polite way to strong-arm him into it, which would ideally make the thing better. I don’t mind the resettlement of Palestine, which is under assault. Does that make me a terrible person? A settler, or worse–a human war crime machine? I don’t think it does. All of those things are starting to feel very 2014.
And speaking of which, I don’t think ICE getting people who came here illegally and are breaking the law (by being here without legal precedent) is worse than illegal immigrants taking over the country. That’s just me.
