Bad Democrat

Remember Trump’s first term, when celebrities were having parties where “f*ck Donald Trump” was said over and over again by a DJ and they posted it on Instagram like “yeah!!” That was nuts. We were gone. I mean, we were gone. And a song called “This is America” was a thing, where Childish Gambino just wanted to say “This is America” over and over about police brutality. I actually don’t want to hear “this is America” when a cop murders a black person for no good reason, reminding you, “America has always been this bad and you’re blind if you think otherwise”. And then came the masks, and the beautiful Instagram illustrations of people wearing masks with flowers and “take care of yourself”. “Self-care”. Masking. I hated what people said during that period so badly.
