Bad Democrat

I wanted to talk about the Oscars, and how they’re not going to be on TV anymore. I was wondering if people feel like that’s a good idea or not. My first instinct when I heard it was to think “well I think that it’s good they’re on television”, but I wondered if I was missing anything. Is there any reason we don’t want to see the Oscars on television? I don’t mind the actors being elitist for one night per year. I feel like it’s a big event and people like knowing what’s going on (if they missed the movies that is, and I did). What’s going on?
