A years-long Washington Post investigation into Tulsi Gabbard’s ties to spiritual cult leader Chris Butler revealed that she has taken verbatim dictation from the head of the Science of Identity Foundation, a far-right religious cult that follows the teachings of the Hare Krishna movement. A former staffer of Gabbard’s congressional campaigns sent the Washington Post 25,000 pages of documents, including hundreds of memos between 2011 and 2017, when Gabbard was in Congress. The memos, coming from Chris Butler’s secretaries and a small group of followers from an email address called Nine Isles .com, told Gabbard what policies she should support, what legislation she should introduce, and how she should present herself on television.

From NDTV: One memo about Iraq reportedly suggested that it was time for Gabbard to publicly promote a plan to divide the country into three separate regions. “It’s time for TG to come up with this idea,” the memo quoted an unnamed person as saying.

In a 2014 memo, the unnamed speaker reportedly urged Gabbard to introduce legislation targeting countries whose citizens had joined the Islamic State (ISIS) and advised her to issue a public statement quickly. Saltzburg found that Gabbard released a statement the very next day and introduced a bill a week later.

Between 2014 and 2016, the Post found that Gabbard as a sitting Congresswoman repeated Chris Butler’s talking points from the memos verbatim dozens of times. Her voting record was also extremely similar to the views that he laid out for her.

I blogged about Gabbard once a month ago, and said that she seemed to represent herself well in a House Intelligence Hearing. Were the biggest threats to America Russia, ISIS, and China as she stated? Or was that motivated by the cult? Did she have motivations to bring Hare Krishna to Congress, to US legislation, and to the Americans peering in or supervising her? Or was she really just kidnapped?

Furthermore, has she shared any intelligence with them as Director of National Intelligence?
