The DOJ just announced that they have busted the biggest healthcare fraud scheme in history and indicted 455 individuals including 90 doctors and medical professionals. It will result in the suspensions of 1,079 providers and the suspension of medical billing privileges for 1,043 providers. It will have civil charges of 13 defendants for $14.8 million in health care fraud schemes, as well as settlements with 31 defendants. Finally, 928 cases to revoke drug prescribing privileges will be administered through the DEA. I believe that that is a ton of people and I’m glad that it got busted.
