Jay Clayton had a confirmation hearing yesterday, Trump’s pick to be the next Director of National Intelligence. Clayton’s confirmation is needed to reauthorize the US’s foreign spy powers, expiring more than a month ago because Democrats refuse to reauthorize a section of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act so long as Bill Pulte is in charge.
