- A sheriff’s deputy in Mississippi was shot and killed in the line of duty over Labor Day weekend.
- Deputy Terrian Bailey was shot and killed after an unknown person fired into a crowd gathered in a convenience store parking lot, striking him and a female bystander.
- The FBI has posted a $25,000 reward for anyone who could provide information that leads to an arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible.
The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department released a statement, “In the midst of this tragedy and chaos, we want to honor Deputy Bailey’s unwavering dedication and commitment to Claiborne County, the very community he proudly served,” the statement read.
They are asking anyone who may have any information about the shooting, no matter how small or insignificant, to come forward.
