The Trump Administration convened senior officials from governments around the world 12 days ago to declare that they are going to squash radical left terrorism, which they called a transnational threat.  “Our counterterrorism doctrine has had a blind spot when it comes to extremist violence from the political left. Even today, the very idea that far-left terrorism could be a serious threat is treated as a right-wing fever dream,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted. He said that far-left terror attacks and plots have risen to levels not seen in decades.

Secretary of State Scott Bessent announced that the Treasury will be intervening on how Antifa and other far-left radicals use charitable and nonprofit finance to fund their violence. “At President Trump’s direction, Treasury is expanding its efforts to identify organizations that abuse charitable and nonprofit structures as vehicles for illicit finance. We are examining where tax-exempt status has been exploited, where charitable entities have become financial conduits for foreign influence activity…”

This comes after the Trump Administration designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization last September. “Antifa engages in coordinated efforts to obstruct enforcement of Federal laws, with the goal of achieving policy objectives by coercion and intimidation – this is domestic terrorism,” the press release stated.

“One of the hallmarks of left-wing violence and terrorism is its completely pre-textual and disingenuous appeal to civil liberties in an effort to shield its own violence…” Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller noted at the gathering this month.
